'Ashes to ashes' starring George Zouvelos is a short film sitcom/romance about tragic events that happened a year ago, when John had tragically lost the wife he loved dearly from a heart-attack. At the same time Lauren dreadfully lost her husband when he was arguing on his cellphone with his talent manager and walked into the path of an oncoming bus. Each of the deceased were taken to the same funeral home for services at the same time, and later to the crematorium where the funeral home put the wrong names on the funeral urns. Fate is the only explanation for the mix-up as Lauren was given an urn bigger than her head, and John received one that fit in the palm of his hand. They both finally found the time to mee to exchange the urns at Laurens apartment.

Directed by George Zouvelos, and the first time opportunity to be an Assistant Director for Deanna Doyle.

George Zouvelos is a SAG-AFTRA / AEA actor born and residing in New York City. He is of Mycenaean-Spartan Greek ancestry. George served as a Daytime Emmy Judge for The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences; and is a Member of NYWIFT New York Women in Film & Television. George has won Best Actor, Best Director, Best Film, Best Supporting, Best Screenplay at film festivals around the world with 37 wins, 10 nominations; and, 19 additional awards for creating and producing television and film content.

He continues original Meisner improv, but focuses on his Method studies back full time at Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City. George has a BA from John Jay College of Criminal Justice; and graduated with a Filmmaking diploma at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) New York City.

George is the creator and writer of 'Raising up Daisy' television screenplay and the short film ‘Ashes to Ashes’. He is also the creator and writer of the short film ‘All jokes aside’ which is from the television screenplay 'Daddy’s Dozen’.

Additionally he is the writer and creator of ‘Bail Boss’ a drama/crime series in development. He is the writer and Executive Producer of the feature film 'Once a week for life' concept filming December 2022, the Executive Producer in a film he costars in with actor Tom Sizemore called 'Mob Humor' that is presently filming, is the Executive Producer of the feature film 'Don't go into the woods at night' which films in November 2022; and the writer and Executive Producer of the television series concept 'Everything's Anonymous' EA filming in February 2023. Zouvelos is the Executive Producer on two-award winning short films, 'Definitely Soy' 2019 and The Next Generation 2021 and 2022. He is an Executive Producer on the Amazon Prime series 'New Dogs Old Tricks', a Producer on 'Little Cupid', an Associate Producer in the feature film 'Heavenly Deposit', and an Associate Producer on 'Ivy & Mistletoe.'
