This is not my proudest moment, but three years ago when I first moved to the UK I started working with an agency, washing dishes in different restaurants in order to make means. We would complete our timesheets ourselves at the end of the week in order to get paid. After a while I figured out that nobody was double checking if our times are correct… and so, I started adding 15 more minutes, and then 30 more and the minutes eventually became hours. Big surprise, I got caught by one of the restaurants! That feeling, the guilt, oh my, what have I become? I was feeling incredibly terrible. In the end I built the courage and admitted my act to the rest of the kitchens and my agent. After two years, I wrote Astoria.
