2012, Athens, Greece, national election day. Cello-virtuoso, master musician Vassilis Lykos, brings his beautiful Portuguese instrument for a session with his “student”, veteran viola player Panos Staboglis, a childhood friend. Panos then gives Vassilis a masterclass on billiard.

Director of photography, ass. Professor, cinematography chair, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Arts, Film Studies. Studied cinematography at the American Film Institute (MFA, Fulbright-scholarship). Recent collaborations as a DP, include the features Canteen, Heart of the beast, Small revolts; the shorts Offered boy, Marionette, Happy life, Dry cleaning, One moment please; the feature documentaries Alive at Kyttaro, Play it again Christos, Altamoura, Nico Koyndoyros-Odysseys, Katerina Gogou-restoring the dark.
As a director-cameraman, recent projects include, the experimental short, 07-01-2011, the last rehearsal, shown at the 13th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, 7th Athens Video Art Festival-2011, 5th Chalkis Hellenic Documentary Festival-2011. Cinematography prize at the Drama International Film Festival-2011. Recently completed a debut-feature, Aphrodite’s child, Lucas Sideras.
