Ubah is a short film/musical about a man who lives in the kampung (village) of Malaysia, he gets sacked from his job and is forced to leave his village for the city (Kuala Lumpur) to survive, where he then loses all his money and tries to change himself to climb the ladder of success.
The director uses metaphors for how society is viewed today and showcases some of the social problems that are present in todays Malaysia. The south-east asian country is facing several problems such as poverty, unemployment, corruption, crime and racism.
This is showcased in different scenarios of the video.

I was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden but my parents are born in Melaka, Malaysia and raised in Singapore. My father moved to Europe in his 20ies, and stayed there ever since.
I studied at New York University and Berkeley College. (New York City).
Moved to Malaysia in 2012. I was inspired by P.Ramlee. As a young boy where I learned bahasa melayu (malay language) at home with my parents when my mother selected Old bujang lapok P.Ramlee movies for me to learn about malay culture and music. As I only spoke Swedish and English in Stockholm where I grew up. My dream was to become like P.Ramlee (Legendary Malaysian filmmaker). As an Director, Producer, Actor and Singer Songwriter.
