I have here a small film; it's made from a few filmed postcards. These are simple, intimate postcards, which I sent to my girlfriend when she returned to her country, Latvia, in the autumn of 2014. During those months of separation, we didn't know if we could meet again and her absence imbues every frame of the film.

I have here a small film; it's made from a few filmed postcards. These are simple, intimate postcards, which I sent to my girlfriend when she returned to her country, Latvia, in the autumn of 2014. During those months of separation, we didn't know if we could meet again and her absence imbues every frame of the film.

Hernán Talavera is graduated in Fine Arts, and makes his short films in the same intimate and lonely way he works on his paintings. It was in his Videoart classes, in 2003, when he made his first videoletters, after seeing those that Shuji Terayama and Shuntaro Tanikawa made between 1982 and 1988. His last short film, Interiorism, has been screened at festivals from countries such as Canada, Germany, France, UK, Greece, Russia, Poland, Italy, Serbia, Portugal, Mexico, Albania or Chile.
