Η 55χρονη ζωή του Σανατορίου του Γιατρού Καραμάνη στο Πήλιο, κατέγραψε δύο παγκοσμίους πολέμους, έναν εμφύλιο, πολλούς θανάτους, αλλά και πολλούς έρωτες και χωρισμούς.
Τρεις ερωτικές ιστορίες άφησαν έντονα τα χνάρια τους μέχρι σήμερα.
Ο Γιατρός Καραμάνης ερωτεύεται την Άννα μα θυσιάζει τον έρωτά του όταν ο γοητευτικός Άγγελος Σικελιανός την παίρνει από κοντά του.
Η 24χρονη Ελληνοεβραία Ντορέττα φτάνει στο Σανατόριο όπου ζει τις πιο ωραίες στιγμές της ζωής της. Ερωτεύεται τον Γκι που μόλις έχει επιστρέψει από το Άουσβιτς. Ονειρεύονται, σχεδιάζουν το μέλλον τους μα η μοίρα τους χωρίζει.
55 χρόνια αργότερα ο Γκι εμφανίζεται στην ζωή της...

In 1908, a doctor suspecting he is tubercular starts up a sanatorium on the Greek Mount Pelion. Tuberculosis longs for love and gives birth to fatal love affairs. He falls in love with a much younger woman who comes to work. He marries her in order to lose her by a notable poet who steals her away.
Soon after the WWII a young Jewish consumptive woman is admitted. She falls in love to a Jewish youth who survived Holocaust. They promise each other eternal love. But times are hard and they are abruptly separated.
55 years later he re-emerges…

Ο Δημήτρης Βερνίκος, Σκηνοθέτης και Παραγωγός, έκανε μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στο National Film and Television School στην Αγγλία. Έχει διαγράψει μακρόχρονη και δημιουργική πορεία στην Eλληνική κρατική τηλεόραση και τον κινηματογράφο με σειρές ντοκιμαντέρ, ταινίες, πολιτιστικά προγράμματα, σειρές μυθοπλασίας και μουσικές σειρές (261 συνολικά). Οι περισσότερες ταινίες του φέρουν και την υπογραφή του στην παραγωγή. Βραβεύτηκε στα Φεστιβάλ Θεσσαλονίκης, Bordeaux, και Lorquin.
Διδάσκει σενάριο, σκηνοθεσία, υποκριτική στον κινηματογράφο, κινηματογραφικές γλώσσες και ντοκιμαντέρ. Επίκουρος Καθηγητής (1994-2012) Ε.Κ.Π.Α., Π.Θ., Π. Αιγαίου, Α.Π.Θ.

Η Πόλυ Βλάχου σπούδασε χορό και θέατρο στο Βόλο και στην Αθήνα. Παρακολούθησε εργαστήρια “Soundings” με τον Ryszard Nieoczym στην Ελλάδα και στο “Le Théâtre de L’Homme Actor’s Laboratorium LeTHAL” στον Καναδά και εργαστήρια Butoh και Χοροθεάτρου με τους Μαρία Μεντέζ, Atsushi Takenouchi, Masaki Iwana και Sumako Koseki.
Συμμετείχε σε παραστάσεις θεάτρου και χοροθεάτρου.
Συμμετείχε ως βοηθός σκηνοθέτη στις ταινίες “Μάνος Χατζιδάκις – Είδωλο στον Καθρέφτη” και “Νίκος Γκάτσος – Κατά τον Ρουν της Μυστηριώδους Ζωής του” του σκηνοθέτη Δημήτρη Βερνίκου.

Dimitris Vernikos graduated with Honours from the National Film and Television School in England and is a life NFTS member. He has directed and produced for the Greek television and Cinema documentary films, documentary TV series, cultural programs, fiction series and music TV series (261). He has been awarded at the Film Festivals in Salonica, Bordeaux and Lorquin.
He teaches film languages, script writting, film directing, directing documantaries and acting for the camera. Professor (1994-2012) at 4 Greek Universities.

Polly Vlachou studied dance and theater in Volos and Athens. She attended workshops “Soundings” with Ryszard Nieoczym in Greece and at the “Le Théâtre de L’Homme Actor’s Laboratorium LeTHAL” in Canada, Butoh and Dance Theater workshops with Maria Mendez, Atsushi Takenouchi, Masaki Iwana and Sumako Koseki.
She participated in Theatrical performances and Dance Theater performances.
She participated as an assistant director in the films “Manos Hadjidakis – Reflection in the Mirror” and “Nikos Gatsos – Following his Mysterious Life” by Dimitris Vernikos.
