A documentary for the freedom of press and human rights in Turkey. The violation of human rights in a country juggling between the East and the West is now evident during the first and second decade of the new century, the time coinciding with the absolute power of one and only man: Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Can Turkish “democracy” tolerate citizens of a different national, political or sexual identity?
Thomas Sideris studied Political Sciences and Public Administration at the Law School of the University of Athens and specialized in the mass media. He has a postgraduate diploma in Anthropogeography on the subject "Human Geography, Space Development and Design" by the University of the Aegean. He is a PhD candidate in Anthropogeography by the Harokopio University of Athens. He is working as journalist and documentary maker on Greek Broadcasting Corporation [ERT].
