The 6th AIDFF awards ceremony brings the curtain down on another hugely successful festival, which was held from 2 to 8 February 2017. More than 150 films, from 30 countries, were screened during the Festival’s week, including 60 premieres. The Festival screens all the typical film categories of New Cinema such as short and feature fiction films, video art, video dance, experimental, short and feature Documentaries. In collaboration with the British MMBF institution the festival awarded one of the winners with the Rising Star Award. This special prize is supported and provided by the British MMBF Trust, which is an international fund set up to support young people with an interest to follow a career in the film industry.
The “Best Director” award was granted by the Greek Directors’ Guild. Another Award provided by ALKYONIS New Star Art Cinema to a director chosen by the Festival ensures distribution for hisfilms.This Festival’s main program was screened in the two well know Athenian cinemas of historical value, Alkyonis New Star Art Cinema and Studio New Star Art Cinema. Two tributes took place in the parallel events with films of unique aesthetics and themes: the first to young filmmakers from Spain and the second to filmmakers from Iran. We also enjoyed films created by Edge Hill University students, who for four years now prepared films especially for the festival and whose films this year joined the competition in the category: Student - Young filmmakers.
A special tribute to Environmental Education, Lifelong Learning was held by the 6th Athens International Digital Film Festival on Saturday 4 and Monday 6 of February. The tribute’s inspiring environmental films charmed both grownups and children, through their magical images, stunning landscapes, clever animals and birds and scientific information that have overturned all we have known about the nature that surrounds us.
A special tribute to Environmental Education, Lifelong Learning was held by the 6th Athens International Digital Film Festival on Saturday 4 and Monday 6 of February. The tribute’s inspiring environmental films charmed both grownups and children, through their magical images, stunning landscapes, clever animals and birds and scientific information that have overturned all we have known about the nature that surrounds us.
During this Tribute the Festival arranged a premiere screening in Greece for 11 excellent quality and international production documentaries, on the environment, which demanded long-term shooting and brought to the silver screen images of distant and inaccessible places.
Τhe Tribute is implemented through the Operational Program "Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning" and is co-financed by the European Union (European Social Fund) and Greek national funds.
The special program of screenings was accompanied by a panel discussion focusing on the role that –documentaries hold in introducing environmental sciences research and discoveries to a wide audience. And a special workshop entitled "Environmental education with the power of new media production and distribution”. This workshop’s success motivated the organizing team to include it in the festival events that will hopefully be repeated.

Το 6ο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ψηφιακού Κινηματογράφου Αθήνας AIDFF θα διεξαχθεί από τις 2 έως τις 8 Φεβρουαρίου του 2017. Θα φιλοξενήσει πάνω από 150 ταινίες από 30 χώρες, ενώ 60 από αυτές θα κάνουν την πρεμιέρα τους στην Ελλάδα Στο φεστιβάλ περιλαμβάνονται όλες οι κατηγορίες του Νέου Σινεμά: Μυθοπλασία μικρού και μεγάλου μήκους, video art, video dance, experimental, ντοκιμαντέρ μικρού και μεγάλου μήκους. Το Φεστιβάλ αξιοποιώντας την διεθνή αναγνώριση θα απονείμει, για δεύτερη φορά, και το βραβείο Rising Star Award, σε συνεργασία με το βρετανικό ίδρυμα MMBF. Το βραβείο Σκηνοθεσίας χορηγεί η Εταιρεία Ελλήνων Σκηνοθετών, ενώ η ΑΛΚΥΟΝΊΣ New Star Art Cinema θα διασφαλίσει σε βραβευθέντα από το Φεστιβάλ διανομή για τρεις ταινίες του.Το Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ψηφιακού Κινηματογράφου Αθήνας πέτυχε μια ευθυγράμμιση της σύγχρονης κινηματογραφικής πραγματικότητας στην Ελλάδα με τις μεγάλες εξελίξεις σε διεθνές επίπεδο ως προς τον Κινηματογράφο, ο οποίος σταθερά βαδίζει προς την Ψηφιακή του Εποχή, έτσι το Φεστιβάλ χαρακτηρίστηκε πρωτοποριακό.
Το φετινό πρόγραμμα θα αναπτυχθεί στo Αλκυονίς New Star Art Cinema και στο Studio New Star Art Cinema. Περιλαμβάνει ένα αφιέρωμα σε νέους Ισπανούς και Ιρανούς σκηνοθέτες, με ιδιαίτερο ύφος και θεματολογία, ενώ θα απολαύσουμε ταινίες από το Edge hill university, που για τέταρτη χρονιά οι σπουδαστές του τις δημιούργησαν ειδικά για το Φεστιβάλ και από φέτος θα εντάσσονται στο διαγωνιστικό στην κατηγορία: Σπουδαστικό– Νέοι σκηνοθέτες.

ώτη προβολή στην χώρα μας, ταινίες εξαιρετικής ποιότητας, διεθνείς παραγωγές με θέμα το περιβάλλον, οι οποίες απαίτησαν μακρόχρονα γυρίσματα σε απρόσιτα οικοσυστήματα από κινηματογραφιστές και επιστήμονες. Πρόκειται για ταινίες που μας επιτρέπουν να γνωρίσουμε πρώτοι, πριν φτάσουν στο ευρύ κοινό μέσω της αντίστοιχης αγοράς, τα πιο απρόσιτα και άγνωστα οικοσυστήματα, όπως αυτό των γερανών στους παγωμένους Σκανδιναβικούς Βαλτότοπους, την ανεξάντλητη ποικιλία φρύνων και βατράχων στο Εκουαδόρ ή το ασυνήθιστο περιβάλλον των Τυρφώνων ανά τον κόσμο κ.α.

Το ειδικό πρόγραμμα των προβολών θα πλαισιωθεί από ένα πάνελ συζήτησης με κύριο θέμα τον ρόλο των ταινιών-ντοκιμαντέρ στη διάδοση των περιβαλλοντικών επιστημών, ερευνών και ανακαλύψεων. Επίσης θα διεξαχθεί Εργαστήριο (workshop) με τίτλο «Περιβαλλοντική εκπαίδευση με τη δύναμη των νέων μέσων παραγωγής και διακίνησης». Το αφιέρωμα υλοποιείται/ενισχύεται στο πλαίσιο του Επιχειρησιακού Προγράμματος «Ανάπτυξη Ανθρώπινου Δυναμικού, Εκπαίδευση και Διά Βίου Μάθηση» και συγχρηματοδοτείται από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση (Ευρωπαϊκό Κοινωνικό Ταμείο) και από εθνικούς πόρους. Η είσοδος στο αφιέρωμα στα εργαστήρια και στις συζητήσεις είναι δωρεάν.
Εργαστήρια, στο σενάριο, στο αμερικάνικο σινεμά, στην δημιουργική γραφή με επαγγελματίες του χώρου θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να παρακολουθήσουν οι θεατές. (είσοδος δωρεάν)
Το Φεστιβάλ διεξάγεται με την αιγίδα του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού και Τουρισμού και την Υποστήριξη του Δήμου Αθηναίων.
Το φεστιβάλ διοργανώνεται από τoν Οργανισμό KOYINTA και Tickets Tickets και έχει συνεργαζόμενες εταιρείες και πολιτιστικούς ανταποκριτές σε πολλές πόλεις της Ελλάδας και σε διάφορες χώρες του κόσμου.

The 6th Athens International Digital Film Festival AIDFF will be held in Athens from 2 to 8 of February 2017. More than 150 films will be screened during the festival, more than 30 countries will participate, and for at least 60 films it will be their Premiere, as many directors chose this festival for their film ’s most important screening. The festival includes all typical categories of New Cinema such as short and feature fiction films, video art, video dance, experimental, animation, short and feature documentaries.The festival’s exclusive partnership with the British MMBF Trust goes on. Thus a special prize awaits the winning films, titled “Rising Star Award”. This special prize is supported and provided by the British MMBF Trust, which is an international fund set up to support young people with an interest to follow a career in the film industry. The “Best Director” award will be granted to the winner by the Greek Directors’ Guild. Another important prize goes to a director chosen by the Festival’s Jury Committee and it will be supported by ALKYONIS New Star Art Cinema ensuring distribution for three of the winner’s films. Athens International Digital Film Festival fully supports the contemporary cinematic reality and the major international developments, which track to the Digital Age, and for that it is featured as an Innovative one.
This year’s screenings will be held at Alkyonis New Star Art Cinema and Studio New Star Art Cinema, which are both renovated historical cinemas of great value. The program includes two tributes to young filmmakers from Spain and Iran, who indeed have their own unique style and subjects. The audience will once again enjoy movies produced by Edge Hill’s University students (UK). For the fourth year Edge Hill’s students create films in order to be screened by AIDFF.

The tribute includes some truly amazing environmental films, international productions, which will be screened for the first time in Greece. They all demanded endless shootings in inaccessible ecosystems by filmmakers and scientists. Thus the festival’s audience will have the opportunity to learn about the most inaccessible and unknown ecosystems, before the films reach the wide public. The cranes in the icy Scandinavian mire, the endless variety of toads and frogs in Ecuador and the unusual environment of peat lands in various places on the planet are only a few of the subjects that these films approach.
The Tribute contributes to the dissemination of science through the power of new media and audiovisual digital technologies used by now day scientists around the world. The special program of screenings will be accompanied by a panel discussion focusing on the role that documentaries hold in introducing environmental sciences, research and discoveries to the wide audience. Another workshop will also will be held entitled "Environmental education with the power of new media production and distribution." Τhe Tribute is implemented through the Operational Program "Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning" and is co-financed by the European Union (European Social Fund) and Greek national funds. Entrance to the tribute and to the workshops and discussions is free.
Three more workshops will be included, the first one about the Scenario, the second about American cinema, and the third about creative writing. All workshops will be open to the audience and taught by professionals. (Free admission)

Thus a vibrant community is rising all around the world of millions who are interested in cinema, which continues to gather heads and affect the other arts, which often borrow tools, technology and ideas inspired by cinema to create new art species.
The 5th Festival hosted more than 150 films originating from 40 countries, 70 of which have chosen this festival for their Premiere screening, enjoying its international environment and recognition. This year the Festival will also give for second year the prize “Rising Star Award” provided by the British Foundation MMBF, continuing its exclusive partnership with the AIDFF.

Στίς 30 Σεπτεμβρίου Ξεκίνάει η περίοδος υποβολής αιτήσεων συμμετοχής στο 6ο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ψηφιακού Κινηματογράφου Αθήνας AIDFF .Το Φεστιβάλ, προωθώντας την ιδέα του ψηφιακού κινηματογράφου περιλαμβάνει ταινίες μυθοπλασίας, τεκμηρίωσης, κινουμένων σχεδίων πειραματικές, video art , video dance και σπουδαστικές ταινίες που δημιουργήθηκαν με την χρήση των νέων ψηφιακών μέσων .Το Φεστιβάλ θα διεξαχθεί τον Ιανουάριο του 2017 στους Ιστορικούς κινηματογράφους Αλκυονίδα και Στούντιο., Στο πλαίσιο του διαγωνιστικού χαρακτήρα του Φεστιβάλ απονέμονται τα κάτωθι βραβεία:

Ταυτόχρονα πέτυχε μια ευθυγράμμιση της σύγχρονης κινηματογραφικής πραγματικότητας στην Ελλάδα με τις μεγάλες εξελίξεις σε διεθνές επίπεδο ως προς τον Κινηματογράφο, ο οποίος σταθερά βαδίζει προς την Ψηφιακή του Εποχή, έτσι το Φεστιβάλ χαρακτηρίστηκε πρωτοποριακό, καθώς ανέτρεψε το σύνηθες να φτάνουν στη χώρα μας οι διεθνείς εξελίξεις με αρκετά χρόνια καθυστέρηση και γι’ αυτό βρήκε αμέσως μεγάλη και απρόσμενη ανταπόκριση από τη Διεθνή Κινηματογραφική πραγματικότητα.
Ο Ψηφιακός Κινηματογράφος έχει δημιουργήσει μια χωρίς προηγούμενο τεχνολογική επανάσταση στη βιομηχανία του σινεμά, της τηλεόρασης και του internet . Η εργονομία και η διαθεσιμότητα των ψηφιακών κινηματογραφικών μηχανών και οι ανεξάντλητες δυνατότητες του ψηφιακού μοντάζ, δίνουν στον σύγχρονο κινηματογραφιστή δυνατότητες παραδοσιακά απρόσιτες και δημιουργούν μια ζωντανή κοινότητα από εκατομμύρια ανθρώπους σε όλο τον κόσμο που ενδιαφέρονται για τον κινηματογράφο, ο οποίος συνεχίζει να συγκεντρώνει τα βλέμματα και να επηρεάζει τις άλλες τέχνες, που δανείζονται από αυτόν εργαλεία, τεχνολογία, οπτική και δημιουργούν νέα είδη.

Το Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ψηφιακού Κινηματογράφου Αθήνας πρόκειται για ένα καλλιτεχνικό γεγονός μεγάλης σημασίας διότι συντονίζεται με το ιστορικής σημασίας πέρασμα του κινηματογράφου στην Ψηφιακή του Εποχή –πέρασμα που συντελείται τώρα παγκοσμίως – και ως Φεστιβάλ αποτελεί πρωτοποριακή κίνηση για τα ελληνικά δεδομένα που γνωρίζει μεγάλη ανταπόκριση από δημιουργούς όλου του κόσμου. Το 5ο Φεστιβάλ φιλοξένησε πάνω από 150 ταινίες από 40 χώρες με 70 να κάνουν την πρεμιέρα τους στην Ελλάδα .Αξιοποιώντας την διεθνή του αναγνώριση θα απονείμει για δεύτερη φορά και το βραβείο Rising Star Award σε συνεργασία με το βρετανικό ίδρυμα MMBFΤο Φεστιβάλ διεξάγεται με την αιγίδα του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού και Τουρισμού και έχει την Υποστήριξη του Δήμου Αθηναίων .Το φεστιβάλ διοργανώνεται από τoν Οργανισμό KOYINTA και Tickets Tickets και έχει συνεργαζόμενες εταιρείες και πολιτιστικούς ανταποκριτές σε πολλές πόλεις της Ελλάδας και σε διάφορες χώρες του κόσμου.
