When you say, ’something is tipping over’, the moment between stillness and fall is being addressed, whereas falling is the more likely option: Something tipping over into a positive situation is not intended. In my digitally animated video Tipping Point I am dealing with the current society’s feeling of dramatic negative changes in various political and climatic issues. The tilting movement finds its analogy in using so called „ambiguous figures“ which irritate the spectator’s perception constantly while unfolding an abstract, disquieting narration about shift of power along with shift of meaning.

Lilian Robl (*1990) completed her studies of Fine Arts as a master student at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and at Ecole de recherche graphique Brussels. She also acquired a Bachelors degree in art history and literature. Numerous both domestic as well as international exhibitions and screenings, e.g. European Animation Center, Athens; Cabaret Voltaire, Zurich; Galerie weisser elefant, Berlin; Kunstverein München; Hungry Eyes Festival Gießen) as well as prizes (e.g. sponsorship award link 2 future psychoanalytic seminar Zurich; price DOK.fest education; AIR at RIFT London; AIR Goethe Institute Munich / Russia; AIR Institute for Advanced Study Delmenhorst).
