'Transfigurazione' is a video art visual prayer. The video investigates existential mourning. The shot is a Renaissance self-portrait, which sheds light on the emotional psychology of the 'I'. It has an ascending rhythm. The Christic theme of transfiguration, inspired by Raphael's painting, is elaborated by bringing to light the ambivalence of the word transfigure. Feeling to be transfigured highlights the laceration of the loss of identity. To transfigure also means to transform, to take on a different appearance, to light up one's face. The video closes with the body in a cross, fading behind the veil. The 'I' eclipses, manifesting, in the loop, the search for a present being.

Performer and video artist. Master's degree in theatre disciplines and qualification as professional socio-cultural educator from the University of Bologna. Advanced training in contemporary archives, Central State Archive in Rome. I studied and collaborated with M. Pasquali theatre and film acting, directing, improvisation, voice. I collaborated for 18 years in M. Mirecka actress J. Grotowski's Teatr Laboratorium. Leader of ‘The Sun - R. Mirecka's school’ at the Grotowski Institute in Wroclaw. I study contemporary dance and painting. I have had various experiences in traditional rituals and meditation, which led me in 2021 to start a new research in the field of ritual performing arts. Since 2022, my research has focused on video art. In my research as a video artist, I question the self in an existential sense, starting with the plasticity of the body. Red is the colour I contemplate. The eternal pathos of red. My videos are carnal prayers that investigate Being.
