Χίος, 1960, λίγες μέρες πριν κλείσουν τα σχολεία για τις καλοκαιρινές διακοπές. Η
φιλία δύο αγοριών δοκιμάζεται, εξαιτίας ενός ατυχούς περιστατικού. Ο κόσμος όμως
της παιδικής ηλικίας και των σχέσεων αυτής δεν διέπετε από τυπικούς κανόνες
συμπεριφοράς. Έτσι, τα παιδιά φιλιώνουν και περνούν ένα ξένοιαστο καλοκαίρι
γεμάτο εμπειρίες.

Ο Δήμος Αβδελιώδης, γεννημένος στη Χίο το 1952, είναι σκηνοθέτης, σεναριογράφος και θεατρικός δημιουργός με σπουδές στη Φιλοσοφική Σχολή Αθηνών και τη Δραματική Σχολή Αθηνών. Έργα του, όπως Το Δέντρο που Πληγώναμε και Η Εαρινή Σύναξις των Αγροφυλάκων, έχουν τιμηθεί με διεθνή βραβεία σε φεστιβάλ όπως του Βερολίνου, των Καννών και του Νέου Δελχί. Παράλληλα, έχει πλούσια θεατρική δράση και έχει διδάξει κινηματογράφο στο Πάντειο Πανεπιστήμιο. Το έργο του ξεχωρίζει για την ποιητική του ματιά, την εικαστική δύναμη και την ανθρωποκεντρική του προσέγγιση.

Dimos Avdeliodis, born in Chios in 1952, is a Greek filmmaker, screenwriter, and theatre director. A graduate of the University of Athens and the Athens Drama School, his films such as The Tree We Wounded and The Spring Gathering of the Rural Guards have earned international recognition and numerous awards at festivals including Berlin, Cannes, and New Delhi. Alongside his film work, he has directed acclaimed theatre productions and taught film at Panteion University. His art is marked by poetic realism, visual elegance, and deep humanism.
