Ten young men between the ages of 20 and 30, some Italian and some foreign, tell us about their lives inside the Marassi jail, one of the largest prisons in Northern Italy: 850 people in a structure fit to house no more than 400.

Cristina Oddone is a Ph.D. student in Sociology at the University of Genova, researching male violence, youth cultures and prisons. As a filmmaker she has directed “Non disturbare il manovratore” (documentary film, 50 min., 2006) and many other products for Avila TV (Caracas – Venezuela), where she worked between 2006 and 2009. She also examines the potential of video in social investigation: “Loro Dentro – Inside” is the product of this type of research.
