Άνοιξη 1942. Στα μέσα του 2ου παγκοσμίου Πολέμου, ένας στρατιωτικός λόχος βρίσκεται κατασκηνωμένος στο δάσος κατα τη διάρκεια μιας εκεχειρίας. Η προσωρινή ειρήνη και η αυξανόμενη ανοιξιάτικη ζέστη, τους παραπλανεί σε μια παραίσθηση ασφάλειας και ξεγνοιασιάς. Μετά απο ένα νοσταλγικό όνειρο, ο Άνθονυ, ένας νεαρός στρατιώτης, επιχειρεί να διατηρήσει την ανθρωπιά και ταυτότητά του, ψάχνοντας Κάθαρση στα νερά του κοντινού ποταμού.

It is 1942. A band of soldiers has been stuck in the woods during a ceasefire. The momentary peace and the increasing heat of early Spring misleads them into a sense of security and carelessness. After a dream of home and comfort, Anthony, a young soldier tries to hold on to his humanity and identity, seeking catharsis in the nearby river.

Η Georgia Bloo Nicolaou γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στην Κύπρο. Το 2012 αποφοίτησε με διάκρηση απο το University of the West of England του Μπρίστολ με πτυχίο στις Κινηματογραφικές Σπουδές. Η φοιτητική της ταινία μικρού μήκους ‘Dent De Lion’ προβλήθηκε σε διάφορα διεθνή κινηματογραφικά φεστιβάλ και βραβεύτηκε με το βραβείο ‘Καλύτερης Φωτογραφίας σε Ελληνική Ταινία Μικρού Μήκους’ στο 7ο Διεθνές Κινηματογραφικό φεστιβάλ Κύπρου. Έχει δουλέψει ως Βοηθός Σκηνοθέτη και Βοηθός Παραγωγής σε κινηματογράφο, θέατρο και τηλεόραση σε Κύπρο και Αγγλία. Αυτή τη στιγμή ετοιμάζει δυο ταινιες μικρού μήκους και μια ταινία μεγάλου μήκους, σαν σεναριογράφος και σκηνοθέσης.

Georgia Bloo Nicolaou is a filmmaker and artist. Originating from the island of Cyprus, she studied at the University of the West of England in Bristol, UK, graduating at the Top 5 of her class with a First Class Honors BA in Film Studies. Her dissertation film ‘Dent De Lion’ was screened at various international film festivals and was awarded with ‘Best Cinematography in a Greek Short Film’ at the 7th Cyprus International Film Festival. She has been working as assistant director and production assistant for projects in TV, theater and film in London and Cyprus.
After returning from a work experience year in Australia, she is currently developing τςο short films and writing the script for her first feature-film.
