Maria Seitanidou, a young woman who lives in the greek island of Lesvos, is striving to balance her daily commitments, family life and work. Singing is her healing, her “balsamon”, as this soothing force is called in greek.You will find her in children's hugs, in dancing circles and merry hearts.Through her voice she travels from past to present, from earth to sky.

I was born and grew up in Athens. I live in Mytilini for the last 10 years. I have studied Legal Sciences and Iam currently a postgraduate student at the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication of the Aegean University. I am passionate about direction and cinematography.
I have attended 3 workshops on documentary in Mytilene and the MFI΄s doc lab (2020), I participated as a production assistant and fixer in a cosmote history channel’s doc production, I participated in a tv show about the Aegean doc festival as a production manager for 2 years (2017-2018), I’ ve attended many courses and masterclasses about documentary for the past 4 years.
